“For J’s” Crispy Fried Chicken

Ingredients
  • 6 to 7 lb chicken (wings, drumettes, thighs, or drumsticks)
  • 2 teaspoon “For J’s” Sea Salt (any single of combination of flavors)
  • 2 Tablespoon liquid (water, Tabasco, beer or buttermilk
  • 1½-2 cups self-rising flour or all purpose flour
Instructions
  1. Sprinkle salt over chicken.
  2. Mix and marinate for 2 hours or overnight.
  3. Drain and add 2 Tablespoons liquid of choice.
  4. Sprinkle flour over chicken and mix until flour flakes on pieces.
  5. Heat oil in skillet or deep fryer to 400°.
  6. Gently drop chicken pieces into oil and fry until crispy golden brown.
  7. Drain chicken on absorbent paper towels.
  8. Keep warm in oven at 170° until ready to serve.
